Respondents and Q & A
Testimonial:
Last Thursday's event was wonderful for me, a climate activist! The speakers were inspiring, instructional, and calming (which is not the same as inactive). Thanks to CMM for being bold...
-Susan Redlich, First Church in Cambridge
I am so wowed by the evening!!! Bill, Roger, Sajed were fantastic! Each one contributed something so special, articulate, spiritually uplifting that I came home overwhelmed. The crowd was also wonderful and I had conversations with lots of different people. Thanks to all of you for the organizing--- bringing together so many individuals of faith groups sharing their offerings. A truly moving and meaningful time at the river and then at First Church. Mazal tov, congratulations, great job!!!!!
-Maxine Lyons, Temple Beth Zion in Brookline

THANK YOU! Many thanks to those who came to CMM's 3rd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Interfaith Service on January 21st at Brandeis University. The day was a great success! The highlight of the day was an on-site service project packing meals to distribute to local neighbors in need. Donations were collected prior to and during the event, resulting in over 6440 highly nutritious macaroni and cheese meals being packaged. These meals will be delivered this week to food shelters in Boston, Cambridge, Dorchester, Brighton/Allston, and Natick.
The educational component of the day included interfaith dialogue among the participants about what inspires them to service and social action, poetry, song, and “breakout sessions” to learn more about organizations that are living out Dr. King’s dream today. Participants had a chance to learn about and get involved in the essential work of four organizations: Road to Redemption, English at Large, the Advocacy Network to End Family Homelessness, and the Sudanese Education Fund.
