Nigeria
Wednesday, May

from 6PM
to 7:30 PM
UMass Boston Campus Center
Ballroom C, Third Floor
100 Morrisey Blvd.
Boston, MA
Faith leaders and members of the wider CMM community are
cordially invited to join UMass Boston's Graduate Dispute
Resolution Programs for a very special event with two
distinguished visiting Nigerian interfaith peacemakers: a
remarkable tale of religious peacemaking and reconciliation
from two men who started out as leaders of militant
Christian and Muslim youth gangs and became grassroots peace
builders.
The UMass Boston Graduate Program in Dispute Resolution
is partnering with the Interfaith Mediation Center on an
exchange program for Nigerian youth leaders. Supported by a
grant from the US State Department’s Bureau of Educational
and Cultural Affairs, the program will bring 15 Nigerians to
Boston in June for 3 weeks of intensive training in conflict
resolution skills.
Please RSVP to
akern@coopmet.org if you plan to come. Please bring
others from your congregation, agency, school or community
for this extraordinary evening.
