We are happy to welcome two new members to the CMM family of congregations:
Second Congregational Church in Cohasset, and the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute in Dorchester are working together to plan the Institute’s Annual Mother’s Day Walk for Peace held annually in Boston. The Historic Charles Street AME Church in Roxbury and the Wellesley Village Congregational Church held their 7th joint Martin Luther King Service this past January and continue as development partners for a new Roxbury Arts Center owned by Charles Street. New Covenant Church outgrew its building in Cambridge and purchased a recently closed Catholic church. The two congregations are looking forward to working together once the church establishes community service projects made possible by the larger space. Bethel AME Church in Jamaica Plain and Pilgrim Church in Sherborn commemorated the 10th anniversary of their partnership with a January retreat. Women from Pilgrim participated in Bethel’s Annual Women’s Retreat in Newport, Rhode Island. Sudbury United Methodist Church collected and delivered 4,000 cans of vegetables to its partner church, Greenwood Memorial United Methodist Church in Dorchester to be included in Thanksgiving Baskets distributed each year to the community by Greenwood. |
